As a child, the principles of community service and social responsibility were not just lessons taught at the dinner table; they were a way of life. My parents, both devoted educators, inspired me with their unwavering commitment to the betterment of society and instilled in us the belief that we are children of the world. They taught us that our responsibilities for creating a better world should have no boundaries.

Their conviction that education was a transformative tool was matched by their understanding that fairness and equity are universal rights. This belief in treating everyone with dignity and respect is at the heart of the IslaMeah Family Foundation’s vision of a world where all communities have the opportunity to thrive together.I have inherited my passion for community service from my parents, who tirelessly worked to create environments where every student, regardless of their background, could succeed. Today, community matters deeply to me, and I am committed to carrying forward their legacy by promoting social responsibility across borders.

I am a firm believer in practicing what I preach. From protesting against social injustices to advocating for mental health awareness and racial equity, I am dedicated to standing up for what is right. My work in community advocacy and outreach has been a journey of promoting understanding and respect among diverse cultures and religions. Through various leadership roles in socially responsible organizations, I’ve seen firsthand how empowering communities leads to meaningful change.

My dual training as a community organizer and clinician has uniquely equipped me to build bridges of dialogue between communities and professional services. This intersection of passions allows me to advocate for including community voices in decision-making processes, ensuring that solutions are inclusive and comprehensive.Recognizing the need to continue our family’s global legacy of empowerment and equity, my husband and I founded the IslaMeah Family Foundation. This private foundation embodies our commitment to ensuring everyone, no matter where they are from, has a fair shot at a better life. We support projects that empower underrepresented communities by providing access to vital resources and fostering mutual respect and understanding across cultures and religions.

Through the IslaMeah Family Foundation, we strive to instill the same passion for community service in our children, aspiring to inspire future generations to think globally while acting locally.
